There is something buttery and delicious about these colors and I'm stocking up on them for this fall season. Everyone loves a good warm vanilla scented candle or a caramel covered apple during this time of year, and the feelings you get when you indulge in them are irreplaceable. Honestly, I don't really change up my style or my color palate too much for the changing of the seasons. For some of you this is a sin, and that's okay with me! For the rest of us normal folk, a comfortable closet with a few statement pieces that are out of our normal range of choices is heaven sent. With fall on the horizon, the only color additions to my wardrobe will be Mauve, tan, taupe, & "nude!" Let's be honest, we all know I'm a die hard for neutrals. I haven't always been big on the full body nude pieces, but at this moment I am really "feelin' it." Recently I have been following the #RogersSisters: @chrisszoe and @cierarogers owners of the online boutiques babesandfelines.com and shopchrisszoe.com. On their sites you can find all the hip hugging, skin tight, lovely little numbers in all of my new favorite colors. (&& yes all of their curves are real and jealously inducing!) Most likely, these two sisters are the ones to blame for this wardrobe addition. If you're feelin' it like I am, stock up on your favorites and keep these mellow yet standout color options in mind to add to any part of your look. Head to toe, nails, and lips... Yes yes yes.
On another note I came across this video that discusses the most common representation of "nude" clothing on African American women and thought it was worth a share. Thanks Buzzfeed!
** This video is so on point! Note: "Nude" in the most common stores like Forever 21, American Apparel, and H&M are no where close to black skin tones! So if you come across a shade of brown as beautiful as your own skin or a perfect complimentary tint or shade...**Take note of the store and or brand and stay hella loyal! Chapped looking anything is not okay...Ha!**
