I LOVE FOOD. Let’s be really real. Not only do I love food, I love cooking and being in the kitchen in general. Believe me when I tell you this “hobby” has landed me in some stressful situations, but at the end of the day the only thing I care about is that whoever is eating my food, enjoys it. I believe that whether you're cooking for one or with others, it has an amazing effect on people and I have seen it work wonders in tough situations. The phrase “Wife A Girl That Cooks” came about quite some time ago, but simply put it was my twist on the ever so popular phrase “The best way to a persons heart is through their stomach!”
I was raised in the kitchen and thought about pursuing a career as a pastry chef in my early years of high school. Thankfully, I didn’t, and I still have a pure love for the “art form.” Yes, I said art form. Haha to be frank, this shit really is a creative process and it takes a great artist with a detailed vision in order to put those handcrafted dishes in front of you. On the other hand, some people are led by pure intuition, learn to cook by watching, and have a knack for being able to deconstruct dishes and put them back together with a unique twist.
For a while I have shared some of my culinary explorations on my Instagram and Facebook under the #Wifeagirlthatcooks. This feed has been the home to some of my fondest dishes and I’ve wanted to do more with them for so long . From now on I hope to share a lot more of the process as well as the recipes for these dishes on “Feelin It.” I wont promise that all of the dishes will be healthy or ingenious in any way, but what I can promise is that if you follow my recipes your taste buds will thank you later!
